AKRON — Goodyear has overhauled its OTR tire website, www.goodyearotr.com, to provide an enriched user experience that will help mining, construction, quarry and port operations learn how the firm can help enhance their efficiencies and lower their operating costs.
Optimized for all devices, including mobile phones and tablets, and featuring improved search capabilities, the new site contains detailed information about:
- Goodyear's portfolio of OTR products, including tires for mining, construction, quarry and port applications;
- Goodyear's worldwide support capabilities, including its global network of manufacturing plants, dealers and distributors;
- Services, such as field consultations and tire surveys, designed to help enhance operational efficiency; and
- Management tools, such as Goodyear's EMTrack OTR tire performance monitoring system, to track the performance of tires and chart critical indicators, such as cost-per-ton and cost-per-hour.
"The site's navigation and functionality have been optimized to help users find the information they are looking for quickly," said Jose Martinez, Goodyear's senior digital and solutions manager.
"To locate specific products, users can search by tire size and rim diameter, and can drill down into other specs, such as individual tire features and benefits, load/inflation tables and warranties," he said.
"Users also can compare features, benefits and specs of up to three Goodyear OTR tires at a time."
The site's dealer locator recognizes the user's geographic location and automatically displays a list of — and map to — the nearest Goodyear OTR tire dealers in North America. "And users can contact Goodyear tire experts for consultation through the site," said Mr. Martinez.
The site also provides information about Goodyear OTR tire technologies, along with a collection of videos, tips and best practices about OTR tire selection, maintenance and other topics.
"Goodyear's goal is to help end-users enhance their productivity while lowering their operating costs," said Mr. Martinez. "Our newly revamped site will play an important role in helping achieve this. It's one more valuable resource that we offer to mining, construction, quarry and port operations."
