Falken debuts 2 all-season tires

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Sumitomo Rubber Industries' Falken Tires has expanded its line of all-season performance tires with the introduction of the ZIEX CT60 A/S and the Sincera SN201 A/S.

The ZIEX CT60, built specifically with the height of modern crossovers in mind, optimizes the safety and performance of vehicles with a higher center of gravity that would otherwise be sacrificed by tires developed for passenger cars or pickups, the company said.

The crossover-specific tire construction is designed to provide a tire footprint that is firmly in contact with the road, providing optimal handling, stability and defense against rough weather conditions and other road surface defects, the tire maker said.

"The CT60 all-season has been constructed so that drivers will experience shorter stopping distances in wet and snowy weather without compromise to tread life," said Product Manager Drew Howlett.

"Many of the CUVs on the road today are now just experiencing their first replacement tire cycle," Mr. Howlett said. "Falken is excited to launch our first CUV-specific tire for this growing market segment."

The ZIEX CT60 is available in more than 30 OE tire sizes and is backed by a 65,000-mile limited tread life warranty, along with a 30-day ride guarantee and road hazard protection.

The SN201 A/S is designed for compact and mid-size vehicles and is engineered to meet critical touring tire expectations, the tire maker said.

The SN201 A/S offers ride comfort, long tread life, fuel efficiency, low noise and improved winter handling and performance in the wet, the company said.

"Taken together, the Sincera SN201 All-season – with its symmetrical rib design, solid center rib, high sipe density, four circumferential grooves and angled tread grooves – is a solid tire that customers can feel confident will handle well in all weather conditions," Mr. Howlett said.

The SN201 A/S is available in 14- to 18-inch rim diameters, in both T- and H-speed ratings, with Falken's 65,000-mile limited treadwear warranty and 30-day Ride Guarantee.
