TAUNTON, Mass. — New England Patriots fullback James Develin recently visited Sullivan Tire and Auto Service's Taunton distribution center, where he met with employees, signed autographs and talked football.
Mr. Develin, who has a mechanical engineering degree from Brown University, talked about why he pursued a career in football instead of engineering and discussed how he recovered from a 2015 injury — a fractured tibia, Sullivan Tire said. He also encouraged employees by sharing the best advice he ever received: Always believe in yourself and your abilities.
"Sullivan Tire is a proud part of Patriots Nation and to have James Develin spend some time with us, especially during their busiest time of year, meant a lot," Sullivan Tire Vice President Paul Sullivan said.
"(Mr.) Develin talked to our employees about the Patriots' positive team culture and how it contributes to their overall success. I like to think Sullivan Tire replicates many of those same values. It was a very inspiring day for all of us."
Sullivan Tire and Auto Service operates more than 100 retail, commercial and wholesale locations through Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine. Additional information is available at sullivantire.com.
