NEW YORK — Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has added 332 part numbers to its BWD Automotive engine management line, covering vehicles through the 2017 model year, which represents 184 million vehicles in operation (VIO).
Among the additions to the product line are 87 sensors, 25 transmission control solenoids and 157 switches, including 25 cruise-control switches that increase the firm's vehicle coverage by 42 million VIO.
BWD manufactures and distributes critical components for late model vehicles, includingcomputerized engine controls, ignition coil-on-plug coils, ignition wire, emission components, EGR valves, fuel injectors and fuel system components, as well as a range of sensors, switches and relays.
