The check was part of Heartland's commitment to guaranteeing $500,000 of the mortgage on Hope Place, which is a transitional living home for homeless youth in Anoka County, Minn.
Hope Place opened in November, 2016, and is now providing safe living experiences for its residents, Heartland Tire said. The goal is to develop another Hope Place for homeless youth.
Heartland Tire, a privately held dealership in Central Minnesota, said it supports the goal of Hope 4 Youth to end homelessness for youth in Anoka County.
Heartland Tire operates 12 retail stores in Minnesota and has 106 employees. It also operates a large commercial truck tire facility and retread plant.
