Carlstar expands range of Carlisle farm tires

DECATUR, Ill. — Carlstar Group L.L.C. has expanded its range of Carlisle-branded radial and bias-ply agricultural tires to encompass sizes up to 54 inches in rim diameter.

The expanded range, with six new tread designs, debuted at the 2017 Farm Progress Show in Decatur Aug. 29-31.

Ashish Goel, executive vice president of marketing, said the new sizes give Carlstar a complete line of agricultural tires, complementing Carlisle's more traditional semi-pneumatic and smaller size pneumatic tires.

The expanded range comprises:

• CSL 24 —bias-ply R1 series drive axle tires for tractors, sprayers and harvesters;

• CSL 28 — R1 category radial drive-axle tires for tractors;

• CSL 32 — open-lug bias R-1 category tire;

• CSL 45 — Heavy-duty bias-ply skid-steer;

• CSL 48 — High-flotation, diamond-tread R3 category tire; and

• CSL 66 — loader/grader tire.

Carlisle did not specify from which plant or plants it is sourcing the larger-sized tires, saying its supply network "includes many successful global manufacturing partnerships" that are able to leverage the strength of the company's brands.

Carlstar operates tire plants in Franklin and Jackson, Tenn., and Meizhou, China.
