BETHESDA, Md. — The Heavy Duty Distribution Association (HDDA), a community of the Auto Care Association (ACA), has begun creating data standards for the heavy-duty aftermarket.
The HDDA has contracted with Pricedex Software Inc. to continue as its partner on the project, which aims to improve product data communication across the entire heavy-dutymarket, the ACA unit said.
Volunteer product data experts from 20 heavyu-duty parts categories were asked to participate on subcommittees on different subjects for the creation of the standards.
The project is designed to help independent HD distributors and their supplier community to communicate product and system attributes more effectively to provide faster, more accurate information for the end customer, the HDDA said.
