Advance Auto Parts recognizes five vendors

    RALEIGH, N.C. — Advance Auto Parts Inc. (AAP) honored ExxonMobil Co. and Motor Parts of America Inc. recently as its 2017 Vendors of the Year.

    The award, which recognizes dedication to excellent service, commitment to quality, highly successful marketing campaigns and unparalleled partnership to AAP, was presented during the annual vendor summit, held recently in Raleigh.

    Marni Gruitch, U.S. retail sales manager for ExxonMobil, and CEO Selwyn Joffe of Motorcar Parts of America accepted the awards for their respective companies.

    Advance Auto honored five vendor partners at the ceremony.

    Others include Dorman Products Inc., which was named the Superior Availability Vendor of the Year for the third straight year; MAT Holdings Inc., Commercial Excellence Vendor of the Year; and Sylvania, DIY Excellence Vendor of the Year.

    Advance Auto Parts recognized Motorcar Parts of America and ExxonMobil with the 2017 Vendor of the Year award.     "Advance's vendors are brand partners that play a critical role in our ability to serve our customers better than anyone else," said Mike Broderick, senior vice president, merchandising and operations support for Roanake, Va.-based AAP.

    MAT Holdings, was recognized for innovative category management, excellent field team support and delivering quality products that professional customers trust, according to Advance Auto. MAT Holdings was named Advance's Vendor of the Year in 2016.

    Sylvania received its award for category innovation and commitment to putting the customer first, while Dorman was honored for first-to-market successes and expanded coverage offerings that benefit customers across the country, AAP said.
