BETHESDA, Md. — Women in Auto Care has scheduled its 2018 Winter Leadership Conference for Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Online registration will be available in October, along with a detailed agenda. The conference is open to all professionals in the auto care industry.
Women in Auto Care (WAC) — formerly Car Care Council Women's Board — comprises auto care professionals dedicated to providing opportunities, education and career leadership to women in the auto care industry through networking, mentoring, recruitment, recognition, industry advising and communication.
Past conferences focused on personal development areas, such as communication, leadership and creating a presence, the group said. Industry trends also are a key component of the conference agenda.
WAC President Tammy Tecklenburg noted that the group hosted "record-breaking" attendance at its recent summer conference in Nashville, Tenn.
"With a focus on education for young women looking for automotive careers, Women in Auto Care is a vital organization to the aftermarket," Ms. Tecklenburg said. "Not only do we support and provide leadership for existing members, but we also award scholarships to young women seeking careers in our industry."
