FRANKLIN, Tenn.— Carlstar Group L.L.C. is raising prices on selected Carlisle-brand specialty tire lines by up to 5 percent, effective Sept. 1.
The increase will impact Carlisle-branded agricultural, construction and high speed trailer tires. The company said the increase is tied to its efforts "to recover from significant raw material cost escalations."
The increase is effective globally, Carlstar said.
This is Carlstar's second price increase this year.
On March 1, the company implemented an increase of 8 to 12 percent on its range of Carlisle-, Marastar-, Marathon- and Ultra CTR-branded specialty tire products. Marathon-branded tires include solid polyurethane tires, flat-free tires and pneumatic tires for small industrial uses, made previously by Marathon Industries Inc., which was acquired by Carlstar in July, 2015.
Carlstar increased prices on its ITP brand portfolio by 5 to 8 percent on Feb. 6.
