NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — The Automotive Management Institute (AMi) is offering 20-percent discounts for its suite of online courses to members of "participating industry repair associations."
North Richland Hills-based AMi is a nonprofit dedicated to providing professional management certificates and designations to the service and collision repair segments of the automotive industry.
The AMi said for associations to be eligible to participate in the program, they must meet annual donation ($10,000) and promotional requirements.
"We know the value training customer-facing administrative and management staff has on a repair operation and want to increase the industry's awareness of it," AMi President Jeff Peevy said.
"In many cases administrative staff training is overlooked," he added, "and yet it has a substantial impact on customer satisfaction and gained operational efficiencies."
Among the first to announce its participation in the program is the Automotive Service Association (ASA), which said its members will receive the discount on management and administrative training courses in the myAMi Learning Management System.
"This is an exceptional opportunity for our members to improve their management expertise and to help staff members sharpen their customer service and administrative skills at minimal expense and time because the courses are offered completely online," ASA Vice President Tony Molla said.
