Ford reports that some 2008 E-350 Econoline vans may illuminate the ABS/RSC light and store one or more of the following trouble codes in the ABS module: C1145, C1155, C1165 and/or C1175.
The car maker says the problem only afflicts vehicles built on or before June 25, 2008, and is due to water infiltration into one or more of the ABS wheel speed sensors. Installing new-design, better-insulated speed sensors should eliminate further trouble. Here are the relevant part numbers for the upgraded sensors:
Left/Front — 8C2Z-2C204-C
Right/Front — 8C2Z-2C204-B
Left/Rear — 8C2Z-2C190-C
Right/Rear — 8C2Z-2C190-B
