All 2007-08 RDX SUVs, as well as 2009 models built from VIN 5J8TB1…9A000001 through 5J8TB1…9A007865, are prone to illuminating the amber brake system warning indicator and logging trouble code P16D9 in PCM memory.
Acura attributes the problem to the PCM misinterpreting the feedback signals from the electric vacuum pump. Flashing the module with new software is the only way to eliminate the condition.
