BETHESDA, Md. — The Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) intends to become more integrated into the Auto Care Association (ACA) under a new strategic plan for the future of the organization.
The AWDA Council of Governors, which represents more than 600 distributors and manufacturers of motor vehicle parts, recently approved an updated strategic plan that details the direction that AWDA will take in its role as representative and advocate for the auto care industry's distribution sector.
A central theme of AWDA's new plan is the intent to become more integrated and influential within the ACA, the associaiton said.
In 2004 AWDA joined forces with the ACA (formerly AAIA), which represents nearly 3,000 member companies that manufacture, distribute and sell motor vehicle parts, accessories, tools, equipment, materials and supplies, as well as perform vehicle service and repair.
