CINCINNATI — Tire Discounters Inc. is planning to open as many as 10 new stores in the coming months, including one in Huntsville, Ala., thus expanding its network to a sixth state.
Tire Discounters, which operates more than 100 stores in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Georgia, said it plans in the coming months to open one new location and remodel five existing stores in the greater Cincinnati area, open three stores each in Nashville and Chattanooga, Tenn., and open one store each in Louisville and Lexington, Ky.
"We want to partner with other family-owned and operated businesses with a similar, customer-first philosophy as we expand our business," President Jamie Ward said. "We want everyone to know that there are other choices than selling to some big faceless corporation.
"We know that not everyone has a solid succession plan like we do, and we want family tire and service retailers considering options to sell to know they can trust us to take care of their customers and their hard-earned reputations."
Huntsville is a natural extension of Tire Discounters' growing network in Tennessee. That city is roughly 100 miles southwest of Chattanooga, where the dealership has four stores and is planning to open three more, and 115 miles south of Nashville, where there are 11 stores with three more planned.
The company said it also is investing in its technology infrastructure to help deliver an enhanced customer experience across the board, including implementing a state-of-the-art, point-of-sale system and updated phone systems.
The company also said it is refreshing its website, TireDiscounters.com, to serve online customer needs better.
