PANAMA CITY, Panama — David Shaw, CEO of Tire Industry Research, has been booked as the keynote speaker for the 8th edition of the Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo, which will take place June 14-16 in Panama City.
The exhibition is operated by Latin Expo Group, which has its headquarters in Miami, Fla., and operates an office in Panama. Gus Lima is the company's CEO.
Show promoters called Mr. Shaw an “acknowledged industry expert with over 25 years' experience at analyzing and commenting on the global tire and rubber industry.” He was formerly editor of Crain Communications Inc.'s European Rubber Journal, a sister publication of Tire Business. His expo topic — presented June 15 during the expo's educational conferences — will be on the Chinese tire industry.
Mr. Shaw, who also is a consultant to the Tire Technology Expo conference that takes place in Germany every February, has for the last three years moderated the World Rubber Summit in Singapore.
According to Tire Industry Research, its website “helps visitors to understand the global tire industry” by looking at it “from a strategic, technical and geographic perspective.”
