CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Openbay Corp. has released Openbay ASP, an Android-based mobile app for automotive service professionals that allows them to receive real-time notifications from on-line consumers in need of repair and service, among other things.

The app allows users to respond with near real-time service quotations, manage service appointments and exchange photos and videos during service. It also allows dealers to answers questions about service via text or email.

Consumers can be notified when the service is complete and the vehicle is ready for pickup, and payments can be processed on a mobile device.

"In order for auto care businesses to keep up with this transformative change in consumer behavior and better position themselves for growth in local markets, they need to team with technology partners with domain experience to meet the demands and expectations of the Millennial," said Rob Infantino, CEO and founder of Openbay, an online marketplace for consumer auto repair and provider of SaaS-based software for the auto care industry.

Among the information a service provider can access from a customer are the type of vehicle, list of requested services or problem and/or diagnostic information.

Openbay ASP is free for automotive service professionals with an approved Openbay account. Openbay ASP is available for download by clicking here.

"The Openbay ASP app is simple to use and allows us to respond immediately to inbound customer inquiries for service quotes and questions," said Kevin Chow, owner of Chow's Automotive in San Francisco.

"Openbay ASP is one of the tools we rely on daily to deliver a great customer experience and align the way we communicate with online consumers."
