BOWIE, Md. — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for the 2017 Tire Industry Hall of Fame until July 3.
The Tire Industry Hall of Fame is open to individuals in the tire industry, including manufacturers, inventors, publishers, equipment suppliers, association executives, tire dealers, recyclers and retreaders, according to TIA. Posthumous nominations are accepted.
Inductees are chosen based on the following criteria:
- Contribution of new ideas;
- Practices promoting the well-being of the tire industry;
- Exemplary service within the tire industry; and
- Respect towards their peers.
Contributions to civic, cultural, educational or charitable endeavors may also be considered as secondary criteria, TIA said.
