BOISE, Idaho — Off-road parts retailer 4 Wheel Parts has opened a store in Boise, its second in Idaho and 79th in North America.
The company is planning a grand-opening celebration June 3 featuring discounts, installation specials and multiple giveaways throughout the day, including a $1,000 shopping spree to one lucky winner.
"We are thrilled to address the demand from our on-line and mail-order customers with this brand new retail location here in Boise," said 4 Wheel Parts Regional Manager Mike Abbiati.
Store Manager Nick Becket added: "From rock crawling to open deserts and mountain trails, this region offers such a diverse array of opportunities for off-roading."
Mr. Abbiati noted that customers in Boise will "have the opportunity to choose the best products for their vehicle with the assistance of our experts and will be confident with the peace of mind that comes with service and installation being performed right here onsite by our ASE-certified technicians."
The 11,000-sq.-ft. store has five service bays plus a four-post service bay for alignments. There are nine full time employees.
Compton, Calif.-based 4 Wheel Parts did not disclose the investment in the store, which is located in a retail shopping complex west of downtown Boise.
Among the special events planned for the grand opening will be off-roading vehicles from Idaho 4X4 and Early Bronco Club of Idaho, 4 Wheel Parts said.
At 79 retail outlets, 4 Wheel Parts is considered the 14th largest independent retailer of tires and auto parts, according to Tire Business research.
4 Wheel Parts considers itself a leader in truck, Jeep, SUV and off-road performance products, including off-road tires, wheels, lift kits and accessories. Among the tire brands carried are BFGoodrich, Dick Cepek, Goodyear, Maxxis, Mickey Thompson, Nitto, Super Swamper, Toyo and the company's proprietary private brand Pro Comp.
