ALLEN PARK, Mich. — Belle Tire Distributors Inc. has hired advertising industry veteran Vivek Saran to fill the newly created position of chief marketing officer.
Mr. Saran moves to Belle Tire after a dozen years with Marc USA, a Pittsburgh-based advertising agency, where he was senior vice president and director of business strategy and innovation.
Mr. Saran, 46, also brings experience from several companies, including Adidas Golf, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Rite Aid Pharmacy and S.C. Johnson & Son Inc.
Belle Tire President Don Barnes III called Mr. Saran an "intelligent and humble leader with exceptional business expertise and marketing leadership. He understands the brand DNA of Belle Tire and our perpetual commitment to serving our customers.
"He is well recognized for his extensive experience in business strategy, innovation and integrated marketing that will be invaluable as we continue to drive Belle Tire's expansion and growth," Mr. Barnes added.
In 2016 Belle Tire engaged Mr. Saran's previous employer, Marc USA, to handle its creative and media buying. Marc USA is responsible for Belle Tire's current "My Guy" media presence.
"We are going to be focused on evolving the way we engage and build relationships with consumers, increase loyalty and leverage new technology," Mr. Saran said.
