WINCHESTER, Va. — Max Finkelstein Inc. has opened a distribution center in Winchester to service the company's growing customer base in northern Virginia, western Maryland, southern Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The 80,000-sq.-ft. facility, located in the I-81 Stonewall Industrial Park with ready access to I-81, is the Astoria, N.Y.-based wholesaler's 14th distribution center.
The new warehouse will alleviate pressure on Finkelstein's Hanover, Md., facility, which has been servicing much of the targeted area, the company said.
Overall, Max Finkelstein services customers in 13 states in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, from Virginia to Maine. The company's 14 DCs total 1.4 million square feet of tire storage and are serviced by 180 delivery trucks, the company said.
Known traditionally as a Goodyear-focused distributor, Finkelstein also handles Goodyear's Dunlop, and Kelly consumer and commercial brands as well as the Carlisle, Kenda, Kumho and Pirelli brands and a wide range of private label consumer, commercial, OTR, and specialty products.
The company also is a distributor for the Goodyear G3X, Pirelli FasTrack, Kumho Premium Fuel, and Kenda Traction Associate Dealer programs.
