SimpleTire.com donating funds for military families

PHILADELPHIA — This Memorial Day weekend, online retailer SimpleTire.com is donating 5 percent of its sales generated May 27-29 to Wounded Warriors Family Support (WWFS).

WWFS is an independent nonprofit organization that provides support to families of U.S. soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who have been wounded, injured or killed in combat operations.

"Families of military men and women take on a giant burden," SimpleTire co-founder Josh Chalofsky said in statement. "This donation to Wounded Warriors Family Support is a small gesture to express our gratitude and help families that might be struggling."

"The support we receive from SimpleTire is outstanding! Their donation makes a real difference in the lives of military families who have had a member wounded or killed while serving," Col. John D. Folsom, USMCR, founder and president of WWFS, said in a news release.

SimpleTire conducted a similar fundraiser last November in honor of Veteran's Day.
