Take 5 Oil Change buys QuikStop Oilube

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Take 5 Oil Change has acquired QuikStop Oilube of Burlington, Ky., which operates 10 locations in the greater Cincinnati market, marking Take 5's entry into Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio tri-state area.

The acquisition boosts Take 5's presence in Ohio to 47 locations and 257 stores in 16 states. Take 5 is a Driven Brands Inc. entity.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jeff Simmons, owner of QuikStop Oilube, called Take 5 a "solid and growing national player in the convenient oil change business. QuikStop Oilube was founded in 1987 by Jeff and Cathie Simmons. QuikStop Oilube has four locations in Ohio, five in Kentucky and one in Indiana.

Take 5 Oil Change specializes in fast and convenient oil change services, with drive-through oil changes that take an average of eight minutes. Additional services include air filter replacement, wiper blade replacement and coolant exchanges.
