CYPRESS, Calif. — Nitto Tire U.S.A. has promoted Jeff Bootz to vice president of sales, hiring him away from sister company Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp.
He will report directly to Keiko Brockel, Nitto president and chief operating officer.
Mr. Bootz, a 24-year tire industry veteran, formerly was a regional sales manager with Nitto's sister company, Toyo Tire U.S.A., before being named Toyo's director of sales in 2009.
According to Nitto, Mr. Bootz began his career in the tire industry in 1992 at Dunlop Tire Corp. as a regional sales manager. He was promoted to director of sales, before moving to Toyo in 2002.
"We have been impressed with Jeff's ability to drive sales and his extensive knowledge of the industry," Ms. Brockel said.
"We are confident that his experience will be a valuable addition to Nitto Tire and that, through his leadership, he will help us to continue to grow the sales of our full product line-up."
Nitto Tire develops performance tires for all uses, including racing, off-road and street.
