LIMA, Ohio — The Auto Care Association (ACA) is partnering with the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) in Lima to promote the auto care industry as a desirable career choice.
UNOH is an entrepreneurial, not-for-profit university founded in 1920. The university's High Performance program provides training in welding and fabrication, engine machining, custom engine building, steering and suspension, drive lines, accessories trends, fuels, electronics and ignitions.
The university states on its website it is known worldwide for its automotive, diesel and high-performance courses of study. Among its partnerships with industry are: Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA); National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF); Richard Childress Racing; and Speedway Motorsports Inc.
Auto Care Careers staff is working with UNOH's Career Services department to promote the auto care industry as a highly desirable career choice, the ACA said.
