The HVAC system on some 2012-14 Dodge Ram cargo vans may intermittently blow cold air regardless of the temperature setting on the control panel.
According to Chrysler, the problem only afflicts vehicles with dual-zone or three-zone manual temp systems built on or before May 23, 2014, and is most likely due to software gremlins in the HVAC control module. Reprogramming the module with updated software is the obvious fix.
Check with a Dodge dealer for the specifics of the flash.
