NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bridgestone Americas Inc. is replacing the venerable FR710 premium car tire in its Firestone-brand portfolio with the "All Season," a T-rated tire built to fit more than 70 percent of all cars, minivans and crossovers on North American roads.
The Firestone All Season hits the market with 25 sizes available — ranging from 175/65R15 to 245/55R18 — with 24 additional sizes coming online in August, Bridgestone said. As such, it offers greater size coverage than the FR710, which debuted in 2009.
The product also features a 65,000-mile limited treadwear warranty (55,000 miles for sizes intended for use on CUVs) and a 30-day "Buy & Try Guarantee."
"We designed…the Firestone All Season tire based on driver feedback and independent dealer requests for a trusted all-season tire offering at an affordable price," said Erik Seidel, president, consumer replacement tire sales, U.S. & Canada.
Pricing starts at $68.99, according to the MSRP information posted on the company's website.
Bridgestone will be manufacturing the new tire at multiple Bridgestone Americas locations, including Wilson, N.C.; Joliette, Quebec; Cuernavaca, Mexico; and plants in Costa Rica, Argentina and Brazil.
