Hay, Prentice among Tire Pros award winners

NEW ORLEANS — David Hay of Hay Tire Pros in South Carolina and Bill Prentice of Tire World Tire Pros in Colorado were among the big winners at the Tire Pros annual dealer award ceremony.

The reception, dinner and award ceremony was held Feb. 28 — Fat Tuesday — at the World of Mardi Gras. Country music act Thompson Square, a husband-wife duo who has had two No. 1 singles — performed a concert afterward.

"Our dealers are the heart of our business," Ron Sinclair, chief marketing officer of American Tire Distributors (ATD) and Tire Pros, said. "Coming together as one group with a shared vision for the future direction of Tire Pros will continue to drive our success."

Mr. Hay, who operates three locations in South Carolina, won the inaugural Excellence in Engagement Award — which recognizes the franchise's most engaged progressive advocate.

Mr. Prentice, who has six Tire World Tire Pros locations in Colorado Springs, won the Community Partner of the Year Award. This award recognizes the dealer most involved with their community and support of the Allies for Independence.

In addition, Jody Jarvis of Jarvis Tire Pros in Navasota, Texas, was recognized as the Young Tire Pros Dealer of the Year, which honors the franchise's most dynamic, young independent tire dealer who is community focused and embodies the Tire Pros brand.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the organization announced that its 2018 Tire Pros National Dealer Business Conference will be held Feb. 8-11 at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio.
