CHARLOTTE, N.C. — American Tire Distributors Inc. has hired Bill Williams as its chief financial officer, succeeding Jason Yaudes, who has left the company.
Mr. Williams comes to ATD from Tatum, Randstad Holdings N.V., a global human resource and executive services consulting firm, where he was CFO engagement partner. Among his duties there was serving as ATD's interim financial executive adviser since September 2016.
ATD CEO Stuart Schuette lauded Mr. Williams for his "breadth of financial expertise from a variety of industries including pharmaceutical, consumer products, automotive, and technology."
His experience spans global manufacturing, shared services, and distribution across various industries, including pharmaceutical, consumer products, automotive and technology, ATD said.
"His leadership, transparency and candor are a welcome fit for the leadership team and for the company," Mr. Schuette added.
During his career, Mr. Williams has served in financial executive and advisory roles at multiple companies, including IBM, Martin Brower L.L.C., AlliedSignal, Steelcase, Kraft Foods and financial and shareholder value consultancy Stern Stewart & Co. He was with Tatum, Randstad Holdings for the past 10 years.
ATD did not provide details as to Mr. Yaudes' departure.
Mr. Yaudes joined ATD in 2006 as vice president and controller and was promoted to executive vice president and CFO in January 2012.
