BOWIE, Md. (March 16, 2017) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for its 2017-2018 board of directors until May 8.
TIA directors serve three-year terms and may be elected for up to three terms, the association said. They must be employed by a TIA member company in tire manufacturing, retailing, wholesale distribution, supply, recycling or retreading, and their companies must be in good standing with TIA for two consecutive years before the election, it said.
Any TIA member in good standing may recommend candidates to the TIA Nominating Committee, according to TIA. They may also nominate themselves. Representatives of industry associations are also eligible to make nominations, TIA said.
"The success of our association is a reflection of the unwavering commitment from our board leadership," said Roy Littlefield, executive vice president. "With every nomination cycle, we are hopeful that all new members will be a vital asset to TIA and our pledge to tire safety."
Nomination forms are available online at www.tireindustry.org.
