ST. LOUIS (March 15, 2017) — Hunter Engineering Co. and shop management software developer Bolt On Technology are working together to "streamline the digital inspection and alignment process" by integrating their respective technologies.
Hunter's Quick Check and Quick Tread inspection systems are now integrated with Bolt On's Mobile Manager Pro digital multi-point inspection tool, the two companies disclosed recently.
This process integration generates a comprehensive, color-coded digital inspection report powered by HunterNet that shops can use to make service recommendations that should lead to increased tire and alignment sales.
Integrating the Hunter equipment with Bolt On's digital tool also saves repair shops time by removing the process of double-data entry, said Andee Silverman, Bolt On's director of commercial business development, with the alignment reports being connected to the digital inspection, as well as making printed alignment reports unnecessary.
These time savings can result in a better quality and more detailed report that can be shared with the shop's customer via text or email, Bolt On said, leaving the shop owner or employees more time for building better rapport, transparency and relationships with customers.
Hunter's Quick Check inspection system checks wheel alignment, tire tread depth, tire inflation, battery health, diagnostic codes and braking balance in less than two minutes, allowing the operator to identify needed service opportunities quickly, Hunter said.
