CINCINNATI (March 13, 2017) — The American Advertising Federation (AAF) has honored Tire Discounters Inc. with a 2017 ADDY Award for its creative executions of brand advertising across social media.
The AAF awards, commonly known as the ADDYs, are considered the advertising industry's largest competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries annually in local AAF Club competitions.
Cincinnati-based Tire Discounters earned a Silver award for its "Social Smiles" social media campaign — which features tongue-in-cheek changeable copy signs and a quirky approach to advertising — in the AAF Cincinnati Club competition in March.
The tire dealership has kept an active presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, YouTube and Google Plus.
"We're extremely honored and humbled to be recognized with this award," said Abbey Dryden, vice president of marketing for Tire Discounters.
"Successful social media execution is integral to building strong, trusted relationships with our customers — which we pride ourselves on developing every day. I'm so proud of our team and their efforts."
On social media, Tire Discounters said it responds quickly to consumer posts and sometimes answers customer questions in the form of a changeable copy sign or funny GIF.
