Drivers of some 2009-11 Pilot SUVs may come into your store with the check engine light on and one or more of the following misfire trouble codes logged in the PCM: P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 and P0304. One likely cause for the trouble, reports Honda, is a carbon-fouled spark plug(s).
Installing one or more new plugs, part No. 12290-R70-A01, and reprogramming the PCM with updated software is the only reliable fix.
Check with a Honda dealer for the application specifics of the flash.
