QUINCY, Ill. (Feb. 27, 2017) — Titan International Inc. plans to raise prices in North America on all Titan- and Goodyear-brand farm tires by to 8 percent, effective April 1.
Titan cited "significant increases in the cost of natural rubber and other raw materials used in tire production" for the need to raise prices.
"A price increase is not something we take lightly," said Paul Hawkins, vice president, aftermarket sales at Titan.
"We remain committed to offering the most competitive programs possible across our complete product lineup, while ensuring we never compromise on the high quality and durability our customers expect."
Titan is the 19th tire maker and/or importer to have raised prices or announced price increases since early January.
Others that have announced in the past few days include: Alliance Tire America Inc.; Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C.; Giti Tire (USA) Ltd.; Maxam Tire North America Inc.; and Pirelli Tire North America/TP Commercial Solutions L.L.C.
