ROME, Ga. (Feb. 24, 2017) — Riccardo Cichi, chief commercial officer of Pirelli Tyre S.p.A.'s North America region, is leaving Pirelli "to pursue personal interests."
Mr. Cichi leaves Pirelli after 27 years with the tire maker, according to Pirelli Tire North America, including the last two years and eight months as chief commercial officer, a post that gave him responsibility for consumer replacement tire sales and marketing in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Pirelli NAFTA Chairman and CEO Pierluigi Dinelli will assume Mr. Cichi's duties on an interim basis "to ensure continuity in commercial activities," Pirelli said. He will be supported by Gary Midkiff, vice president of sales, and Mirella Cielo, vice president of marketing, for the U.S. replacement market.
Mr. Cichi began his career with Pirelli in 1989 as customer service representative with Pirelli Tire Inc. in Montreal and advanced through several levels of management both with Pirelli Armstrong Tire North America in New Haven, Conn., and then with Pirelli Tires L.L.C. in Rome.
