ROSSVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 23, 2017) — TBC Corp. has christened its newest warehouse, a 1.5 million-sq.-ft. facility in Rossville in western Tennessee.
The new facility replaces a smaller warehouse TBC vacated recently in Hickory Hill, 20 minutes east of Rossville.
TBC President, CEO and Chairman Erik Olsen said opening the Rossville warehouse fits with a "major logistics network redesign project" the company embarked on two years ago "to more cost effectively deliver better service to our customers while providing our associates with a state-of-the-art workplace and environment that supports our organization's underlying mission."
"I can confidently say that this location does just that," he said. "Associates have truly enjoyed the workflow enhancements and we're pleased with the outcome."
Rossville is a town of about 700 located 35 miles west of Memphis on U.S. Route 57, which provides direct access to I-269. The new facility is located in the Gateway Global Logistics Center, a 1,500-acre industrial park south of Rossville near the Mississippi state line.
The center will employ 120.
