SAVANNAH, Ga. (Feb. 9, 2017) — Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has opened a warehouse in Savannah to shore up distribution of its products throughout the Southeast and to replace a smaller facility in Memphis due to close this year.
The 220,000-sq.-ft. leased facility is situated near the Port of Savannah and thus close to many of ATG's OE and replacement tire customers, according to John Mancinelli, vice president of operations for Alliance Tire Americas. It serve the Southeast, roughly defined by the Mississippi River to the west and Washington DC to the north.
"…our new warehouse was specifically outfitted and situated to reflect lessons learned from years of serving customers in the tire business around the world," Mr. Mancinelli said. "With our new location, streamlined systems and configurable layout, we will be able to get tires to our customers more quickly and efficiently than ever."
