BETHESDA, Md. (Feb. 7, 2017) — The Auto Care Association (ACA) is reaching out to U.S. military veterans through its Auto Care Careers online resource center to make it easier for veterans to connect to auto industry jobs that match their skills.
The Auto Care Careers website features a job board with a range of career opportunities including those from automotive repair shops, parts manufacturers and parts distributors.
A special section of the site has been dedicated to veterans. There, they can upload a resume, choose to make it confidential, designate military status and receive email alerts of new job postings, according to the ACA.
"Veterans have proven their commitment, drive and skill through their honorable service to our country," ACA President and CEO Bill Hanvey said. "They bring valuable military experience to the workforce and the auto care industry is always looking for qualified leaders to help keep Americans on the road.
"We salute our veterans and invite them to join our dynamic industry," he said.
Additional resources, videos and information are available for employers and job seekers through the website.
A voice for the auto care industry, the ACA serves a network for more than 500,000 auto care-related businesses including those in the manufacturing, distribution, parts sales and auto repair sectors. Additional information is available online at www.autocare.org.
