BERLIN (Jan. 27, 2017) — Trelleborg A.B. was an official partner of the sixth AGCO Africa Summit, which was held Jan. 23 in Berlin.
Established to raise discussion about critical issues affecting Africa's agricultural development, the AGCO summit was first launched in 2012 and has been held annually since.
This year, industry leaders and experts joined political leaders for keynote speeches and panel discussions that focused on the theme "Agribusiness in Africa. Organizing Farmers of the Future." They offered insight into projects and initiatives that help to accelerate the development of African agriculture and placed emphasis on ways that agricultural producers, suppliers, manufacturers and processors can get the most of their supply chains.
"We are delighted to further strengthen our strategic partnership with AGCO and honored to associate ourselves with a project that will help provide solutions to the challenges faced by every farmer across Africa — an increasingly important region to the future of the agricultural world," Paolo Pompei, president of Trelleborg Agricultural & Forestry Tires, said.
