WASHINGTON (Jan. 18, 2017) — The Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) has designated May 28-June 3 as the 16th annual National Tire Safety Week.
Part of the RMA's "Be Tire Smart" consumer education program, National Tire Safety Week is an initiative to rally the tire industry in a focused effort to help drivers learn essential steps to maintain their tires, the association said.
Tire manufacturers, retailers, auto service outlets, associations and others across the U.S. unite to educate motorists about proper tire care and maintenance during National Tire Safety Week, the RMA said.
Participating retail outlets promote National Tire Safety Week through advertising, promotions, free tire pressure checks and community and media outreach, the RMA said.
