BARBERTON, Ohio (Jan. 17, 2017) — JohnDow Industries President Joseph Dease is retiring from the position he has held since 1990, and will be succeeded by Drew Dawson, who has been executive vice president-operations for the past two years.
During Mr. Dease's tenure, JohnDow experienced substantial growth from its roots as a small automotive aftermarket equipment manufacturer, the company said. The Barberton-based firm saw growth in a number of areas including expansions, acquisitions and new product introductions.
"Joe has been instrumental in the continued growth and excellence that JohnDow has achieved over many years," Mr. Dawson said. "He has been our leader and our friend and he certainly will be missed. Management's challenge is to keep the ball rolling and add to the culture of success that Joe helped develop at JohnDow."
Mr. Dawson has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket. He began his career in 1986 in retail sales with Goodyear, managing store locations and eventually becoming regional manager-retail.
In 1991 he became co-owner and operator of Tire Source, now a collection of six independent tire and automotive service centers in northeastern Ohio. Mr. Dawson plans to maintain his ownership in the Tire Source locations, JohnDow said.
JohnDow manufactures automotive shop equipment and supplies, including portable fuel storage and handling equipment; used oil and fluid handling equipment; auto service equipment; EuroVent vehicle exhaust extraction systems; Dynamic automotive fasteners and supplies; and Dynamic TPMS solutions.
