FALLS CHURCH, Va. (Dec. 20, 2016) — The members of the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) have elected Tim BeVier, manager of national account business development at Tech International, president of the board of directors.
He starts his two-year term Jan. 1 and succeeds Brian Hayes of Purcell Tire & Rubber Co., who served two terms as president of TRIB.
"It's a privilege to be involved with TRIB and to have the opportunity to work with fellow tire professionals to represent our industry," Mr. BeVier said. "I'm committed to taking every opportunity to support the tire industry and provide the information TRIB members, their customers, and the public need to make informed decisions about proper tire retreading and tire repairing."
Mr. BeVier has more than 38 years' experience in sales, spending 20 of those years at Tech International, a global manufacturer and distributor of tire repair, wheel service and rubber products, in various roles.
He previously was TRIB's vice president and chairman of the Tread Rubber & Tire Repair Materials Manufacturers Group and is one of Tech's representatives to the American Trucking Associations' Technology & Maintenance Council, supporting the Tire and Wheel Task Group initiatives.
TRIB is a nonprofit organization that promotes proper tire retreading and tire repairing, including supplying vital information to tire industry providers and consumers receiving products and services in the industry on a continual basis.
