Some 2007-12 Volvo models may emit a squeaking sound from the front suspension when driven over speed bumps and other rough road surfaces.
One probable cause of the noise, Volvo said, is the front sway bar sticking to its bushings. Removing the sway bar and lubing the bushings and clamps with a newly formulated grease, Part No. 1319799, should put the noise issue to rest.
Vehicles that are prone to the trouble and can benefit from the new suspension grease are 2007-12 S80s; 2008-10 V70s; 2008-12 XC70s; 2010-12 XC60s; and 2011-12 S60 models.
