EDINBORO, Pa. (Nov. 10, 2016) — Flynn's Tire & Auto Service is planning to open a retail store in Edinboro, on the premises of the former Thor-O-Tire Inc. dealership that it recently purchased.
The store, on Route 6 northwest of Edinboro near the I-79 interchange, will reopen as a Flynn's Tire retail store Nov. 14 and operate weekdays 7:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. A grand opening celebration will be scheduled later, according to the dealership.
Store Manager Bruce Kerins will oversee five employees in the six-bay location. Edinboro is a community of about 6,500 roughly 20 miles south of Erie, Pa., and 20 miles north of Flynn's next closest outlet, in Meadville, Pa.
The store will be Flynn's 20th retail location. Flynn's called this a “new fringe market.”
West Middlesex, Pa.-based Flynn's 20 retail locations — 14 in western Pennsylvania and six in northeastern Ohio — offer numerous major brand tires as well automotive services and Pennsylvania state inspections. Flynn's also operates four wholesale warehouses, five commercial tire locations, a retread plant and a commercial wheel-reconditioning facility.
