CARY, N.C. (Nov. 8, 2016) — Atlantic Tire & Service has named two winners of its 2016 Repair My Ride contest, each of whom will receive $1,000 worth of free automotive repairs.
Thomas O'Hannigan, a student at Wake Tech who teaches piano to pay for his schooling, earned the most votes online for his contest entry, Atlantic Tire said. Anthony Blackman, president and owner of Atlantic Tire, also decided to reward a second contestant, Parker Bailey.
The contest, which ran for a month, called for contestants to submit a video explaining what was wrong with their car and why they deserve to win. Videos then were posted to the Atlantic Tire Facebook page, with “likes” counting as votes.
“At Atlantic Tire & Service, we believe so deeply in giving back to the community that we call our home,” said Mr. Blackman, who, along with his wife Beth, recently received Tire Business' 2016 Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award for their dedication to Cary and the surrounding community.
“I am so happy to be able to help support two very deserving young men and help them repair their vehicles so they can be safe on the road.”
