    Mike Risich, left, founder of Bolt On Technology, talks about the company's partnership with ASA Automotive Systems, along with ASA President Ken Halle.

    LAS VEGAS (Nov. 3, 2016) — ASA Automotive Systems Inc. is partnering with Bolt On Technology in a move that allows ASA to make its TireMaster POS software available on android-enabled tablets.

    This partnership addresses one the biggest requests of tire dealers, ASA President Ken Halle said at a press conference today during the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. They want mobile technology that connects directly to their dealership's point-of-sale system.

    “Sales reps will now be to assist customers throughout the shop, in the parking lot or in the field and will have the ability to look up inventory, check pricing, create estimates and locate customer history from their mobile devices,” said Dave Vogel, vice president/general manager Meridian of ASA Automotive Systems.

    They also will have the ability to take and send pictures of tire tread depth, said Mike Risich, founder and CEO of Bolt On Technology. He called this a game changer for tire dealers.

    “Most customers can't tell the difference between 7/32 inch and 2/32 inch (tread depth), but a photo is worth a thousand words,” he said.

    Mr. Vogel said working with Bolt On Technology has enabled ASA to “significantly” extend the power of TireMaster software, empowering users to advance their point of sale opportunities with this mobile-ready solution

    This includes:

    • Being able to scan and decode VINS, take photos of needed repairs for digital inspections and send the result directly to customers via text message when using Mobile Manager Pro;

    • Allowing service advisers to communicate with technicians by using the team chat feature built into tablets and computers;

    • Providing dealers the ability to text customers, generate custom reports and invoices and advance schedule maintenance appointments through the use of the Pro Pack software suite; and
    •  Permitting customers to self-check-in for appointments and vehicle drop-offs and ensure the accuracy of their customer information through ASA's Welcome Station Kiosks.

    The Welcome Station also incorporates weather alerts and climate-based service suggestions, which further increases shop efficiency by up-selling the services specific to the current weather and seasons, ASA said.

    Mr. Halle said the company has had a great reaction from dealers to the addition of mobile software technology.
