YONKERS, N.Y. (Nov. 2, 2016) — Buick has become the first domestic car brand in more than three decades to place in the top three most reliable brands in Consumer Reports' annual Brand Reliability Survey, the magazine announced.
Buick joined Lexus and Toyota in the Top Three among 29 brands rated by CR, the magazine's editors announced at a press conference in Detroit Oct. 24.
Buick, General Motors' near-luxury brand, has been in CR's Top 10 for the past few years, the editors said.
Chevrolet, the second-best domestic brand, made it only to 15th place, they said.
Infiniti, Acura, Nissan, Kia and Hyundai were the brands that rose most strongly in the ratings, while Honda, Subaru, Volkswagen and Volvo fell, CR said.
