LAS VEGAS (Nov. 2, 2016) — The Car Care Council Women's Board (WB) unveiled its new identity Nov. 1 at the Automotive Aftermarket Exposition (AAPEX) as the Women in Auto Care.
The organization for women in the auto care industry, which is marking its 20th anniversary, chose the new name and logo in response to the association's growth and upcoming initiatives to establish itself in a leadership position around the globe.
“This year has been outstanding, with two successful leadership conferences and our membership, benefits and sponsor partnerships have continued to accelerate,” said Amy Mattinat, outgoing president of Women in Auto Care, said in an earlier announcement.
The organization installed Tammy Tecklenburg, global vice president, sales and marketing for Spectrum Brands, as its new president during the Nov. 1 event.
“Since 1996, we have grown from a ‘board' of a selection of elite women professionals to a membership organization of more than 200 auto care professionals dedicated to providing opportunities, education and career leadership to women in the industry,” Ms. Mattinat said.
