WESTFORD, Mass. (Nov. 1, 2016) — Sullivan Tire Co. Inc. has opened its 68th tire and automotive service outlet with the acquisition of Wayside Auto Services Inc. in Westford.
The 5,000-sq.-ft. shop began as a gas and service station in the 1960s, according to the Wayside Auto website. Robert Karr, who took over operations of the dealership in 1985, will continue to work at the location, Sullivan Tire said.
“We are excited about this recent acquisition and look forward to serving the greater Westford community,” said Paul Sullivan, vice president of Sullivan Tire. “It's a perfect fit for us, and we are proud to say that we have kept on the entirety of the Wayside Auto staff.”
Sullivan Tire noted that the shop will undergo renovations inside and outside in the coming months.
The facility will offer comprehensive automotive service—including oil changes, brakes, batteries, engine diagnostics, shocks, struts and fluid flushes — along with 18 brands of tires for customers to choose from. Longtime Sullivan Tire employee John Ferrera will manage the store.
The company said it will host a grand opening event at the shop, the date and details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.
