GROVE CITY, Ohio (Oct. 26, 2016) — Continental Tire the Americas' BestDrive L.L.C. subsidiary is opening a commercial tire center in Grove City, its second in Ohio and 19th nationwide.
The new location is a 27,639-sq.-ft. leased facility that's located close to the intersection of I-270 and state Route 62 on the southeast side of Columbus, providing ready access to customers throughout central Ohio.
BestDrive is holding an open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct 27, with discounts on Continental tires and retreads, as well as lunch, prizes and drawings.
It previously was a Ziegler Tire & Service location until November 2015, when Ziegler relocated to a site about nine miles northwest of Grove City.
“We…see this as a real opportunity to fill a critical need in fleet and retread services in the great state of Ohio,” said Glen Carson, BestDrive director of retail for the Americas. “It's helpful to remember that our entrance into this market will not just help our customers, it will likely also lead to better service and availability for fleets and the overall market as well.”
The shop offers new tire and retread sales and mounting/dismounting and balancing, with seven employees.
Continental launched the BestDrive business in early 2015 in large part to improve the acceptance of and expand distribution of its ContiTread retread product line.
BestDrive earlier this year opened a location in Salt Lake City and added seven service locations in Illinois and eastern Missouri through its acquisition of Brahler's Truckers Supply Inc. of Jacksonville, Ill.
BestDrive locations also carry General-, Kumho-, Sailun- and Sumitomo-brand tires, according to the business' website.
